Permits are Tristan, Rob, Tam and Dusty. Together they make scrappy, punky, sometimes psychedelic rock n' roll music. Skronk is yet to enter the equation, but it hasn't been ruled out either. Same too with Ska.

Separately, the members of Permits have played with bands like The Shifters, Chook Race, Pop Singles and Dag. You can hear some of this musical DNA in "The Permits Sound". Lost songs dusted off and brought back to life together.
