from A Long Time Alone 4 (2021), released March 3, 2022
Dr Sure is the moniker of Dougal Shaw, founder of Dr Sure's Unusual Practice & Marthouse Records and guitarist for Cash Savage & The Last Drinks. Dougal was born & raised in Central Queensland - in the beef capital of Australia - abandoning the prospect of a promising career in the Rockhampton Abattoir & Meat Works to pursue a life as a disturbed but devoted artist come self-declared Doctor. Dr Sure now wields many instruments (some sharp, most blunt); pusher of pen & brush, spewer of song & script, a pedestrian poet & painter, a studied sound designer & productionist, an amateur filmmaker & record label don, a guitar profficianado & synthesizer enthusiast, a tattooist by trade and a master of none.
